Shipping is About the Process

proc·ess1

/ˈpräˌses,ˈprōˌses/ noun

  1. a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end.

Oxford English Dictionary, 2019.

Process. That critical function of the environment in which we all work. An organization with sound processes that values the input of team members is much more likely to consistently achieve success – or “ship” tasks – compared to an organization that does not value process. When team members understand the way they’re supposed to work together and the pieces of a project they’re responsible for, expectations become a reality. By integrating the knowledge of the “what” and the “when,” you begin to formulate the basics of a process.

Processes move projects along and help ensure that any idea is executable. To help get you started in building out your own processes, we’ve developed an agnostic template sure to make any kind of project “ship.”
