Leap Group Once Again Ranked Among Cincinnati’s Largest Advertising and Marketing Firms

Press Release

CINCINNATI, OHIO – The Cincinnati Business Courier revealed this month that Leap Group ranks No. 7 on its annual list of the largest advertising and marketing firms in the Cincinnati area. The highly competitive ranking provides a snapshot of the most successful companies within one of the economy’s most dynamic segments, with agencies on the list naming some of the top national and global brands as their clients. For Leap Group, this includes such leading names as American Kennel Club (AKC), True Food Kitchen, Duck Brands, Atlas World Group, Summit Brands, and Teleflex.

“I’m inspired by the team I work with every day,” said Greg Fehrenbach, a Cincinnati native and President at (matter), a Leap Group agency. “I see the creative work they’re doing, how they’re thinking and talking about design and brand strategy, and I feel more excited and confident than ever in what the future holds for Leap Group.”

As a bespoke agency holding company, Leap Group offers clients simplified access to four independent specialty agencies, including (matter), a creative and branding agency; (spark) studio, a photo, video, and web production studio; (human)x, a marketing research and analytics agency; and (amp), a full-service digital media agency.

“Because we have access to extremely talented writers and data analysts and directors and videographers, we never feel like an island,” said Fehrenbach. “It’s a really nice feeling to know you have all that bench strength at your fingertips.”

With offices in Louisville, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati, Leap Group added to its footprint last year with the opening of a new office in downtown Chicago to better serve its growing roster of clients and team members in the city. Also in 2024, the network was named to the Inc. 5000 list for the second consecutive year after demonstrating impressive 121% growth in revenue from 2000 to 2023.

“Leap Group exists to help our clients solve their toughest business challenges in today’s competitive landscape and create the authentic human experiences that make their brand matter more,” said Alan Gilleo, Founding Partner and Chief Marketing Officer at Leap Group. “By giving them simplified access to specialized agencies, Leap Group gives our clients the agility, speed and depth of expertise that they need, all with a single contract and single point of contact.”

“Clients come to us with a symptom,” said Joel Warneke, President at (matter). “They say, ‘Hey, we need a website, or we need a new logo.’ We try to slow that process down and back that up. Why do you need a new logo? What’s happening in the industry? In your business? Let’s make sure we’ve got the strategy set.

The Cincinnati Business Courier list represents agencies that have driven employee growth while navigating an increasingly competitive global market, talent scarcities, and economic pressures, among other challenges.
